Hello and welcome! Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Joseph. I have loved writing software and experimenting with computers since I was 7 years old. I began by creating fan games in Scratch on my family’s laptop. Over the years I’ve experimented in dozens of programming languages, game engines, modding utilities, and other related software in my free time.
In 2016 I began publishing game development videos and articles under the name fornclake. I specialized in Godot Engine tutorials for beginner users and live development streams covering intermediate to advanced topics. Some of this material can still be found on my YouTube channel.
After a few years away from the internet I am creating this blog as a fresh start. I intend to post about a wider range of computer science topics. My main interests as of late have been in the world of Linux and open source software. I have delved deep into the rabbit holes of text editors, operating systems, self-hosting, game modding, and more.
If you are here because you watched my old content, thank you so much for keeping up with me over the years. I hope you will appreciate this rebrand and enjoy my new work.
